Solar PV Systems and Safety
review some of the specific hazards and safety concerns associated with solar PV systems. The major components and commonly found install types for a PV system will be established so that we can explore the safety concerns with each system. We will also evaluate the different conditional safety concerns associated with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, operation and maintenance of these systems as well as references for additional safety courses. The course is intended for: Certified Electricians, Electrical Contractors, Electrical Inspectors, and maintenance personnel. -

About the AVO Solar Systems Advanced Certification
Upon completion of this Solar Systems Certification course, the participants will demonstrate that they are able to:
- Evaluate the principles of photovoltaic cells and their interaction with sunlight to create usable electrical energy.
- Interpret the articles of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other standards to evaluate how photovoltaic systems must be utilized in accordance with all regulatory bodies.
- Employ the necessary safety practices and procedures to establish an electrically safe working condition for any photovoltaic system.
