The AVO Substation Maintenance I course provides an overview for apprentices, technicians and engineers responsible for the electrical maintenance and testing of industrial and utility substations. Hands-on labs are a major part of this electrical maintenance training course. This is one of many substation electrical training courses offered by AVO.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This AVO Substation Maintenance I course provides an overview for electrical apprentices, technicians and engineers responsible for the electrical maintenance and electrical testing of industrial and utility substations. Instructed-led hands-on labs are a major part of this course to help the technician locate weak or faulty components in the substation systems. AVOs course focus is on medium voltage circuit breakers (air and vacuum), and switchgear. The course is designed to aid skilled qualified electrical substation maintenance technicians in the safe performance of substation component preventative maintenance. This course is available in Spanish.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This electrical training hands-on course is intended for apprentices, technicians and engineers responsible for the maintenance and testing of industrial and utility substations. AVO has Substation Maintenance I classes near you, in Texas, Washington state, California, and Ohio, or we can do onsite electrical training at your location.

REQUIREMENTS

This course requires a working knowledge of basic electricity. Participants must wear long pants and safety toe shoes to complete the lab portion of this course.
