Course description and overview

3 days.  2.4 CEUs

AVO's electrical safety certification has been specifically written for McDonald’s In-House Technicians (IHT’s). This course provides an electrical safety certification which is a prerequisite for taking IHT repair certification training with the respective equipment suppliers.

This 3-day training course is designed to meet mandated training requirements specified in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S and includes NFPA 70E Electrical Safety training. McDonald’s In-House Kitchen Technicians who work on or near exposed energized conductors or circuit parts must receive training to perform the work safely. This course familiarizes technicians with safe work practices which must be used while working on commercial electrical kitchen equipment.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student will be qualified to: 

  • Describe the generally recognized hazards ofelectrical work
  • Discuss general requirements for electricallysafety-related work practices
  • Describe means to establish an electrically safework condition
  • Explain work procedures for work involvingelectrical hazards
