This course is the next step after Substation I to enhance the skills needed to perform all substation tasks including a focus on common transformer configurations. It offers training on the components of power and distribution type transformers, including common insulating and cooling mediums and explains common transformer configurations.

This hands-on course is intended for apprentices, technicians and engineers responsible for the maintenance and testing of industrial and utility substations.
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
Before attending this course, the participant must complete the Substation Maintenance I course.
Students must wear long pants and safety toe shoes to complete the lab portion of this course.
This course is required for our Substation Maintenance Technician Certification Program.
