Substation Maintenance II (SSMII)

Substation Maintenance II (SSMII)Substation Maintenance II

COURSE OVERVIEW

Substation Maintenance II delivers personalized training on the maintenance and safety aspects within the components of a substation for effective system reliability.

This class offers training on power factor/dissipation factor testing of power and distribution type transformers, familiarization of transformer configurations and insulating mediums, as well as performing a transformer turns ratio/winding test, and insulation resistance testing.

Additionally, lessons learned are proper transformer oil testing procedures along with conducting and interpreting results of an earth resistance test.  Finally, students will learn the ability to perform, and understand the basic functions and testing measures on vacuum, oil, and air switches that are used within any substation.

This course is available in Spanish.
