As one of the oldest electrical training schools in the United States, AVO has been in the forefront of electrical safety for more than 45 years. What began as a support division for parent company, Megger^® (formerly known as Multi-Amp) in 1963, has grown into a independent corporation with a strong vision for improving electrical safety and reliability around the world.

AVO’s Director, Dennis K. Neitzel, CPE, Principal Committee Member for the NFPA 70E, Senior Member of the IEEE, and Working Group Chairman for IEEE Std. 902, joined the team in 1989. Dennis’ leadership in electrical safety regulations has made AVO among the first to know of changes that effect electrical facilities. Our team of instructors, safety inspectors and engineers have over 1,000 combined years of electrical experience in a wide variety of industries.

AVO has been ISO 9001 certified to provide technical training since 1996. In 2004 our name became AVO Training Institute, Inc.
